I sorta feel the same way. Jack is an accomplished musician, but there are a lot of those around. As a producer he seems to be able to bring out the best in an artist, but there are a lot of producers that do that. He's good, but he don't walk on water.

that kinda says it all

and yet, with that being said, he can be quite entertaining

I much prefer Mr. White to that other "wunderkind", Jackie Greene.

started with The White Stripes, now he is in several bands

Oops, gained major recognition with The White Stripes.

From Wiki:
Jack White (né Gillis), often credited as Jack White III

In bands:
The Upholsterers(originally called Two Part Resin)
Two Star Tabernacle
Goober & The Peas(came into the band near the end, performed as John Gillis)
The Hentchmen

The White Stripes (1997–2011)
The Raconteurs (2005–present)
The Dead Weather (2008–present)
Jack White and his Peacocks

Hey you two: I know that Bill doesn't think JW is the bees knees, but for what it's worth, I'd say you really do have to see him live, and it can even come across in video. I'd rent/buy Black Pool LIghts, an excellent music video/concert, and I think you'll be impressed. Think of how most of our "hero" lead players made a huge splash in about 2-4 yrs (Jimi, Jimi, Eric, etc.), and then, realize, he's obviously been around quite some time...

I liked him v much, but wasn't blown away til I saw his live material. Smokes...if you like CREAM, Jimi, etc., you pretty much HAVE to like JW, at least in the WStripes mode at their peak in the early to mid 2000s, IMHO (which it IS on this topic...).

Lots of different flavors of licorice in the Crayola box. Pick again.
